Educational Technology Master’s Program Graduate Spotlight
“Obtaining my masters in this program was the best decision I could make! Dr. Vavasseur’s contagious love for instructional technology provides the motivation for any student to excel with the curriculum. If it weren’t for the knowledge and confidence I received from this program, I would never have landed my dream job within a year of completion of my masters. Thank you Dr. Vavasseur for all that you do."

"At first, I was only interested in obtaining the Technology Facilitator certification. However, after having the amazing Dr. V. as my major professor and seeing the type of innovative technology I was learning, I decided to enter the Master's program and the rest is history. I appreciate this online program because I have met other students who I know will be in my network for years to come and I learned the skills I needed to help me land my first educational leadership role in technology! I am so happy that I decided to get this Masters degree!"

"The Educational Technology Leadership program is an exceptional program with amazing Professors. Having transferred from another University, I was ecstatic to see that the program was grounded in how to use instructional technology in MY classroom. I was able to earn my Master's with highest honors while teaching full time and being a mom of three. After finishing, I actually found myself missing the courses and the new tools that we learned each semester!"

"The EDTL program opened up a complete new innovative world for me to incorporate into my classroom environment and is even more useful in my new adventure as an IT/Curriculum coordinator at eLearningk12. Even though technology is constantly reinventing itself, the tools that were provided through the program are nonetheless effective years later. It was not only the content that was delivered but the effectiveness of the skills that were portrayed in the courses. "

"Deciding to participate in the Educational Technology Leadership masters program was the best decision I have ever made professionally. Not only did I learn history and philosophy which helps me to be a better educator, but I also learned a tremendous amount in terms of technology tools, integration, and hardware and software configurations. I have changed as an educator during the year and a half of the program. I feel prepared to offer an environment for students that allows technology to be a part of every day lessons that are student led and project based as it should be in the 21st century learning environment. I am a full-time mother of five children, so the ability to obtain a masters online was not only convenient, but doable. I am so thankful for Dr. V. and the staff at Nicholls State University."
