1. Download the Expeditions – Google App
It is free! Each device must download Expeditions app from iTunes or Google play. It is the same app for the teacher and the students.

2. Select Guide Mode for teachers and Explorer Mode for students
Teachers must put their app in Guide mode. This will require them to sign in with a Google email account. Students will need to put their app in Explorer mode. These modes can be changed at any time from the top of the screen.

3. Teachers download expeditions
Teachers can download an expedition from the list shown in guide view. Most downloads take little time.

4. Connect students using same wifi
Student’s devices need to be connected to the same wifi as the teacher’s device. Students can then connect to the Guide’s expedition. On the teacher’s device, it will show how many students are connected at the top of the screen.

5. Teacher can start an expedition
Teacher will selected the downloaded expedition that he or she wants the class to participate in. Once he or she presses start, all students will be able to see the expedition.

6. Students can explore while guided through expeditions
Students are able to look around through their cardboard/view masters and explore the expedition. Teachers are able to see from their device where every student is in the expedition. Teachers are able to guide students with information and questions. Teachers are even able to prompt students to look at a particular location. In Explorer view, this will show up with arrows for the student to turn and look a particular way.
